Emergency Road Service can be anyone of the many services we here at Yarbrough Bros Towing provide to the motoring public in Santa Rosa on an hourly basis. The call could be for a tire change on a busy street, Highway or Freeway. It could be for Fuel Delivery or a jump start, it could be for a tow or it could be simply for a lock out of your vehicle. This last service, lockouts, reminds me of one just last Tuesday night where we were responding to a newer Ford Mustang that the customer could not get into her car.

With the recent news of FACEBOOK going public with its stock, it got me to thinking about the uses of FACEBOOK in our small business but also for customers and people who spend some time on the social media network. Yarbrough Bros Towing has had a company page on FACEBOOK for a couple years now and it is mostly there for friends and family to keep in touch, hear road warnings and alerts and play some fun games to win Yarbrough Bros Towing sweatshirts, t shirts or hats every now and then.

We got a call from a college student the other day stating that her car was just "clicking" when she tried to start it and that she figured she would have to have it towed to the dealer. The car was about 8 years old and the battery was over 4 years old. We asked if it would be ok to send one of our seven Battery Service Vehicles to her location in Santa Rosa. She was ok with that as her next class was not for a few hours.

The other day we here at Yarbrough Bros Towing received a a call to Tow a Isuzu box truck from Cloverdale up north to Santa Rosa. Now a bit of back ground on types of towing.

Although the local weather is starting to feel more like winter, Sonoma County did have a few hot days earlier this month and they reminded me of a tow Towingsantarosa that we did where a vehicle had overheated and the customer had been waiting for quite some time for an obscure road club. The customer had elected to call us directly and when Yarbrough Bros Towing responded quickly, she was very relieved. Apparently the other company that was called to help her, was not going to be there for over an hour and she had already been on the side of the road for close to 30 minutes.

Earlier this week I received a call to go recover a riding lawnmower in the north part of Santa Rosa. I headed up that way and was advised by dispatch that the company that had called me, mentioned that i would have to go about an 1/8 of a mile off the road to the lake to get this lawn mower. Well, the reason this was necessary is that the lawnmower had driven/slipped into the lake up there and was not easily accessible. They wanted to know if I could bring about a 150 feet of 'cable". Well, two of the Yarbrough Bros Towing Wreckers have just about that much.

In the last week and a half, we here at Yarbrough Bros Towing have been called to two separate incidents involving a vehicle into a house collision/accident. The first recovery was off of Boyd & Sebastopol Rd in Santa Rosa where a import somehow lost control ran over a small tree & slid sideways into the porch & another tree causing some significant front end damage to the car. SRPD was on scene and authorized Yarbrough Bros Towing to recover the vehicle and then tow it to our facility for storage.

As i was out towing in Santa Rosa the other day, one of the calls i was on was for a Dodge BR3500 dually truck that had a utility bed on it. As i was talking to the company driver of that truck while i was hooking up to it with my Medium Duty Tow Truck, the driver stated that he was "glad you guys could do this tow cuz the road club said it was too big".

Earlier this week I was in the Lobby of a Dealership that we tow for and I came across some informational literature that we here at Yarbrough Bros Towing felt would be beneficial to our friends and customers. So here it is;

"Proper tire inflation pressure is the specified air pressure given by a carmaker for a certain tire on a specific vehicle. This pressure specification should not be confused with a tire's maimum pressure, which is usually listed on the tire's sidewall"...Car Care Council.

Hello there Santa Rosa. I mentioned yesterday about a recovery I did several months ago where the CHP called us out to get it as the first responding company, Santa Rosa Towing, according the the customer, could not find it the day before under AAA. Now this could have been due to bad weather, maybe it was dark out, I do not know, I do know that this time, CHP & the vehicle owner were going to meet me at the corner of Old Redwood Highway to have me follow them up to the loss scene.
